About the position

The Quality Assurance Specialist Feed & Technical products is part of the Quality team at site Karlshamn and collaborates with production, engineering, quality control laboratory, purchasing and business area as well as other functions to make sure we have the right quality for our products and customers. The main part of this role is to work with QA tasks related to feed, but a minor part is also to support the technical area.

The QA Specialist assures compliance with regulatory requirements, certification standards and internal company procedures for our manufacturing of feed and technical.

The work as a QA specialist will be focused on driving continuous improvements of quality systems as well as being involved in QA tasks within the feed and technical area. Supporting in creating a positive feed safety culture

The position is full-time, and you will be based in Karlshamn, Sweden.

Main responsibilities

• Support implementation of procedures to ensure compliance to feed safety and quality standards e.g. GMP+ FSA, GMO controlled and ISO9001.

• Develop and optimize the quality management systems

• Leader of the feed safety team

• Support risk assessments and continuous improvement initiatives within feed safety

• Develop and maintain system for the pre-requisite program

• Coordinate handling of non-conformities

• Conduct internal inspections and supplier audits

• Participate in customer audits and inspections from authorities and notified bodies

• Perform internal trainings

• Initiate activities to encourage quality and product safety culture

Who are you?

To be successful in this role you have a university degree in animal or food science, or other relevant education and you have at least 3 years of experience from a similar position within the feed business. You have solid knowledge about quality management systems, feed legislation and certification standards. For our manufacturing of technical products knowledge about ISO9001 is beneficial.

We value good cooperation skills, that you are driven in your way of working and can perform and prioritize your work based on set goals. We expect you to have the right skills to perform tasks accurately without continuous supervision but seeking input from others as needed. Furthermore, you have to have strong project management skills, and you enjoy working both individually and within a team. You need to have the ability to communicate with authorities, customers and people on different levels within the organization. As a person, you enjoy working with problem solving and continuous improvements and are supporting in creating a positive quality and product safety culture.
